Nakagawa Aquarium was built to introduce the nature and culture of the Yamizo area in northern Tochigi Prefecture. The aquarium introduces visitors to Naka River, a clear stream that represents Tochigi, while the Ajiwai Kobo and Creative Workshop introduce visitors to local crafts and the quality of locally produced foods. We would like to convey the quality of our hometown through hands-on classes （ craft ・ cooking classes ） held at those workshops ！ Nakagawa Aquarium is a unique aquarium in Japan, where visitors can experience not only nature but also culture.
