About Animal Interaction

There are many animals in zoos that we cannot encounter in our daily lives. Even though these animals are born in zoos, they are originally wild creatures. These wild animals basically do not come in contact with humans. By observing these animals up close, which are not usually encountered in zoos, visitors can learn about a wide variety of animals and, through wild animals, increase their interest in environmental issues, such as habitat degradation and the extinction crisis. On the other hand, there are also domestic animals and pets in our society, which are closely related to our daily lives. At our park, as a place where visitors can experience living animals, we practice contact with such small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs. The purpose of this is because we believe that direct contact with animals provides a learning opportunity for visitors to directly feel their warmth, texture, and movement, as well as the vibrancy of life. At the same time, we hope that visitors will learn how to treat animals. We also believe that it will be a gateway to an interest in and understanding of animals, such as the feelings that can be obtained only by touching a living animal, such as cute, smelly, or gross ・ ・ ・, and the discovery of how their bodies are made differently from those of humans.

Our motto is "a zoo where you can enjoy entering, learn and leave. We hope that through observing the wild animals on display and interacting with the small animals, visitors will develop an interest in animals and, by extension, an appreciation of the environment in which they live and the preciousness of life.
